Tales of a caffeine addict

Posted on January 25, 2009. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Lately, work and school have been in direct competition for which one will suck away more of my time and energy. I’ve also noticed that my coffee intake has been excessive. This weekend, I carved out a little time to help a fashion-challenged male friend up his professional wardrobe. While out and about, I made a detour to Teavana. Admittedly, not my favorite of tea haunts, and I could have just packaged up a selection of my stash at home, but instead I walked out with the following varieties (and assorted storage tins):

Lavender Dreams White Tea (w/ candied violet flowers)

Apricot Caramel Torte Green Tea (mmmm… dessert tea)

Six Summits Oolong (no additives but w/ a berry aroma)

Haute Chocolate Rooibos (w/ chicory, cardamom, and ginger)

Black Dragon Pearl (robust, unblended black tea)

I’m in no way suggesting that I’m cutting out caffeine, but maybe I can divert some my “at work” coffee-drinking back into loose-leaf tea. Since each tin includes a label and brewing instructions, it’ll be easier to share with co-workers.

Looking out at the off again/on again snow and cold, I’m debating what tea to make while I finish a school paper (analyzing data that may/may not suggest wage discrimination w/in a small population). [Edit: I settled on a rosebud tea w/ a hint of milk].

What kind of tea would you have made today?
